Vaughan Lake & Lynx Lake outposts are equipped with dependable 16′ extra wide Lund boats and Yamaha motors. The boats are large enough for 3 people and all their gear. Each boat is equipped with swivel fishing seats, nets, life cushions, minnow buckets, and paddles.
Ontario Pleasure Craft Card & Boater Safety Briefing
Please Note: Ontario Pleasure Craft Card should not be confused with a Boater Safety Briefing. Non-residents of Ontario do not need an Ontario Pleasure Craft Card unless staying in Ontario for longer than 45 days. All residents do need the card to drive the boats. Boater Safety Briefing is discussed below.
BOATER SAFETY will be a required item for your trip to Canada. In 2010 the government passed a law that all operators must have passed a boaters safety class. Yes, it’s another item we are not exactly thrilled about, but the government has made the law so we need to tell you the rules. Everyone who plans on being the driver of a boat in Canada NEEDS to have a boaters license. Go to www.boatus.org there is no charge and any state will work. Don’t delay, get your license today….BEAT THE SPRING SUMMER rush!! It only takes about 15 minutes to do. This is just one example, any coarse will work. You can take the course in your home state or other state and that is legal and sufficient to have the card to prove to Canada you have already taken the course. That way you are legal to operate the boat. Just remember to bring the card or whatever they issue that you have completed the coarse, as that is a required document you need to carry in the boat with you during your fishing trip.
